New Poison Kills Bees
Tell The EPA To Recall New Toxin
The EPA has approved a new pesticide for agricultural use without caring about its effect on plants and animals.
Bicyclopyrone (BCP), the poison in question, utilizes plants existing circulatory system, passing its deadly chemicals straight into pollen and nectar. Combining existing pesticides along with the new herbicide BCP, a new weed killer sold as "Acuron" holds potentially devastating and lethal effects for bees, along with other creatures and plant life. Acuron also contains the toxins Atrazine, Mesotrione, and S-Metolachlor, which are "almost certainly" harming endangered and threatened species, according to the Center for Biological Diversity. The EPA also failed to examine or consider the effects of using all four chemicals together.
Despite the EPA recognizing BCP's lethal potential towards bees, the agency has allowed this harmful chemical on the market.
Honeybees currently face extinction as their population continues to decline at an unsustainable rate. Colonies cannot endure yet another toxin entering their food source. When poisoned, honeybees suffer from paralysis, blocked communication, and impaired homing abilities, all of which results in an agonizing death.
The EPA has passed hundreds of harmful pesticides into market without consulting wildlife agencies, a requirement outlined in the Endangered Species Act.
Please help save bees and other wildlife by boycotting these deadly pesticides. Tell the EPA to recall all BCP products immediately.

Your gift, in whatever amount you choose, is extremely valuable. Take pride in knowing that your automated monthly contributions are put to work right away, and that every dollar donated is used to its maximum benefit. Last year 84 cents of every dollar was spent on mission programs aimed at ending animal abuse and suffering. There are billions of animals in the United States alone, who are freezing, abused, neglected and dying of starvation, while still more are exploited, forced into slaughter houses and then served on a plate. With your help, we can be their voice.
By signing up for Animal Advocates monthly giving program you will make a difference. Your donation is fully tax deductible and you can cancel at any time.

Five Motherless Puppies Saved
At approximately 7:30pm on August 28,, Sharon Stone, Operations Manager at IDA's Hope Animal Sanctuary in Grenada, Mississippi, received a call from an employee at Greenwood Animal Hospital with a plea for help. A mother dog had been killed leaving five puppies who needed care.
The puppies were only four days old and without their mother, they would have to be bottle fed. Sharon called on a supporter who had offered to bottle feed puppies if the need ever arose. Angie Downs was happy to help, and these five precious puppies were delivered into her very capable hands at 10:00pm the same night. Without help from supporters like Angie, and people like her, many animals would not survive to enjoy the lives they so richly deserve.
