End Foie Gras! Support California's Ban!
Foie Gras Protest in Oakland - Sunday February 26
When: Sunday, February 26, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Where: BayWolf, 3853 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, CA 94611
Signs and leaflets will be provided.
Why: California's ban on foie gras goes into effect this July, but it is being threatened by uncaring chefs saying they will openly defy the law. APRL released an undercover investigation proving that in the 8 years since the ban was signed into law, things have not changed and the ducks still suffer horribly on these farms.
In Oakland, BayWolf chef Michael Wild is presenting a "Farewell to Foie Gras" dinner on Sunday, February 26 and he plans to repeat the menu in April. Duck is the centerpiece of the menu at the restaurant.
